The best of this place was the excellent staff, very nice and always ready to help. The hostel is centrally located in the heart of the city, not far away from the cathedral and the lively Ribeira district, and within easy walking distance to any place in the historical center. Getting from/to the airport, we took the bus 601 or 602 to Cordoaria which takes approx. 1 hour, from there it is about 10 minutes walking to the hostel (Porto streets are very hilly and partially in very bad conditions). We had a double room with a private bathroom. The room was very clean but quite small and basic, but it looks like that in Porto all houses have small rooms as they are very narrow. The breakfast was good, especially the handmade porridge was delicious. We would stay here again and can recommend it to other travelers. For those starting the Camino in Porto: The hostels/hotels DO NOT sell the Credential de Peregrino, nor the official Tourist information. You can only buy it in the Catedral shop (was closed) or in the Albergue de Peregrinos on the Camino, a little bit outside of the city center (we did).

I recently stayed at beingportohostel in Porto and had an amazing experience! From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. They provided great recommendations for local attractions and dining options, which made my stay even more enjoyable. The hostel itself was clean, comfortable, and had a vibrant atmosphere. My room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, and the facilities were well-maintained. I particularly appreciated the common areas, which were perfect for relaxing and meeting fellow travelers. The kitchen was fully equipped, making it easy to prepare meals. One of the highlights of my stay was the hostel's excellent location. It was situated close to major landmarks, public transportation, and some fantastic restaurants and bars. This made exploring Porto incredibly convenient. The combination of friendly staff, clean and comfortable accommodations, and a prime location made my stay unforgettable. I highly recommend this hostel to anyone visiting Porto!

Love the location of this hostel and found it really authentic. Not as much of a party hostel as others which I preferred for this visit as there's I felt a bit of organised pressure at other locations to with people placed in the hostel to almost 'poach' pub crawl attendees for a fee. Here it was peaceful, calm, and the location is walking distance to lots of beautiful places, near supermarkets, near the Ribiera, easy to access with a short walk from the Metro or short Bolt to drop luggage and settle down here. Good support of a tourist with tourist information everything was very, very clean especially by hostel standards and the bed and pillows were excellent. I really appreciated cold mineral water at reasonable prices available easily in a fridge at reception. So grateful to have towels provided and to be able to leave our luggage after checkout while exploring. Thank you for having us!

Being Porto Hostel is excellent. The environment is very friendly, both the staff and the people that gravitate to this hostel. There are stairs which you'll have to take your luggage up, but that is fairly normal for Porto hostels. One of my favourite features of this hostel was that the toilet/bathroom was outside your room and only available to those in your room. That way it offers more privacy and it is spacious. It is a lovely old building and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here, I wouldn't want to look anywhere else to stay in Porto.

The hostel is hidden away amidst the hustle and bustle of busy Porto. Here you can retreat into a beautifully renovated building with a lovely staff. We came with our son and they provided an extra cost (at an extra cost) so that we could stay together in our room. Very good breakfast with homemade jams and an excellent orange cake! Thank you Being Porto Hostel ❤️ Ps. Some people have complained about the 4 flights of stairs to the top, but we think a little exercise and a stunning view really make up for it!
